Pears Soap was a cosmetic product of
Andrew Pears, who was experimenting with soap purification. Pears
manufactured the soap in a factory near Oxford Street, London,
England. It was first sold in 1807 and is one of the oldest soap
brand in the world. The company spread it roots to other countries
including United States during the nineteenth century. In 1851, A. &
F. Pears Ltd. was awarded a medal for its unique and gentle soap. It
is a world famous brand but is most famous in India. It is now
manufactured in India by Hindustan Unilever (HUL).
Pears is a transparent soap which
originally had a mild fragrance of an English garden. The soap used
to come in two sizes: 75g and 125g. However, nowadays, Pears
transparent soap comes in three flavors: amber (the classic Pears as
we all know), oil clear green, and mint (blue color). It now comes in
69g and 119g. However, the transparent formula of Pears has been kept
intact. The brand has now expanded to produce face wash, shower gel
and even hand wash and is a natural way to attain healthy looking
skin.
Pears transparent soap contains
hypoallergenic ingredients which cleanses and hydrates the skin. It
also contains glycerin and sorbitol as well as natural oils and is
specially made to take care of even sensitive and delicate skin. It
contains water which helps the humectants (glycerin, sorbitol, etc)
seal moisture into the skin.
